A pleasure to have you here

Born & Bred in the Midwest, I left Missouri the day after graduation to head out to the west coast (where my parents originate from).

I took a great interest in cinema and came into the remarkable world of story-telling.

This led me to Osaka, Japan for a one-year entertainment contract with Universal then afterwards I had some special engagements such as Hook’s 25th anniversary at Sony. On account of this, I had a great exposure to the studio system where I began forging stories through the genres under guidance of a few great mentorships and had built a strong multi-genre portfolio.

Couple favorites include collaborating with Episode’s top Rom-Com writer Sandra Gustaffson with the script For Kicks and a Dark Western short titled Gallows. I thrive in the Action-Adventure genre, Western and I have developed a strong love affair for the Sports Genre. The St. Louis Blues have always been a family team and it’s a story I’ve been impassioned by. My heart’s holding out for doing a documentary for the team.

In early 2020, I had a successful pitch to Josephson Entertainment (Wild West) about a 24-hour Le Mans story to follow up Ford v. Ferrari’s success.

As a writer, I love the challenges of climbing the difficult scales of story innovating (at times) unconventional things to enhance them. I enjoy storytelling in the action with what’s unspoken, collaborations, multi-tasking on different projects, storyboarding ideas to the team I can be both professional & a family with … and of course, sound boarding with, for us to arrive to the story’s final edit.

With that all being said -

I appreciate you taking a moment to come look, I hope you enjoy your time here and enjoy exploring the work. Thanks for coming by!

Warmest of Regards,

Mikayla Go Blues.
